Understanding yourself and others - Johari Window Model Workbook / Lesson

This is a 8 page workbook that introduces the topic of the Johari Window. This is a widely used model for understanding and training in a variety of self-awareness dependent activities such as: personal development, communications, interpersonal relationships, group dynamics, team development and inter-group relationships. I use this as a team building exercise, particularly when teams need to build trust so that they can move to a high performing phase. It is also beneficial to find out more about yourself and how others see you generally. A worksheet is included for participants to gain insights into the different quadrants and where they fit within these. ** Leave a review for this resource and receive one free resource of your choice from my shop. Writing Effective Emails- Workplace Communication - Powerpoint and E-book

Email is the most common form of communication in the workplace and it is important to get it right. The Resource contains an e-book that contains six critical steps to ensuring your email is delivered to the recipient in a professional manner. Common mistakes have been addressed for those that have English as a Second Language and there are some practical exercises to be completed around grammar within. The answers are also supplied. The second resource is a PowerPoint presentation that is useful for leadership coaching. It is interactive, and in the notes page of the presentation there are examples of activities for the learners to participate in as you work your way through the presentation. The average office worker receives around 80 emails each day. With that volume of mail, individual messages can easily get overlooked. Follow these simple rules to get your emails noticed and acted upon. Don't overcommunicate by email. Make good use of subject lines. Keep messages clear and brief. Be polite. Check your tone. Proofread. ** Leave a review for this resource and receive one free resource of your choice from my shop. Communications, Workplace, ESOL and Computing Resources

Health & Safety Vocabulary Bank with mix and match activity

(0)
This document contains common words that are found in Health and Safety documentation in the workplace that everyone should be familiar with. On the first page the word is listed with a plain English definition to the right. The next two pages contain cut outs so that a mix and match activity can take place with learners. This is suitable for those with low levels of literacy and / or English as a second language learners. I have put this into practice and it has been very well received within the workplace. I split the class into groups and they have a competition to see who can finish first and / or get 100% accuracy. Leads to good discussions as well.

Method one converts directly from Drive and Method 2 involves downloading a google conversion app. The steps are not difficult, but the benefits and time saving of this feature is worthwhile. Workplace Health and Safety game - Interactive digital vocabulary challenge powerpoint

This fun visual game can be used as a warm-up to a lesson on Health and Safety, or at the end of a lesson as a quick quiz. How the game works: The PowerPoint computer based game can be played in teams or as a group / class activity. The objective is to reveal what is behind the numbers on the presentation, one square at a time. Each team picks a number and answers a question. (Questions and answers are provided in the worksheet). If they answer the question correctly, then they can click on a number on the PowerPoint presentation to display a portion (square) of the picture in the background. The background picture is slowly revealed. The first team to identify the background picture wins. ** Leave a review for this resource and receive one free resource of your choice from my shop.
